What is TIMBER?

This portal is the official online platform of the Kerala Forest Department, designed to provide a seamless and transparent process for users to apply for tree-cutting permissions in compliance with the Kerala Promotion of Tree Growth in Non-forest Areas Rules, 2011.

The primary goal of the Timber Portal is to facilitate hassle-free handling of tree-cutting permission requests — from registration, application, verification, to final order issuance by Forest Department officials.

For Timber Transit permit requests, the system integrates with the NTPS portal to manage the process. Applicants can track the status of their requests at every stage through the Application Status page.
